Neither here nor there..

Yes, I find myself in the same situation yet again. My assignment in the US might be coming to an end soon and I don't know if I will be continuing here or going back to India. I don't mind either scenarios, but I hate to be left uncertain till the last minute. The search for new projects in US and all that is a big hassle. I'd rather get on a plane in the next two weeks and go back home. But certain things can't be avoided, so I just have to suck it up and see what happens.

I finally went to SFO this past weekend. It's the first time I have been to the city since I landed here (which was 50 days ago). Hard to believe? You won't be surprised if you knew me. I am totally lazy and would rather spend my weekends on the couch watching a movie on the lappy than go see the city. A friend had come over from the east coast so we went to the golden gate bridge. The bay looks awesome during sunset from the bridge. Had to go back again with another friend on Saturday, but I enjoyed it. Spent time catching up with a friend from college over the weekend. It was his nephew's birthday, so we were busy decorating the party hall and stuff. Had a good time.

Christmas and new year plans are still uncertain. A lot depends on other people's plans and there is no clear picture yet. I am missing yet another friend's wedding which is going to happen this coming weekend in Hyderabad. Bachelor's party was last weekend in Bangalore, need to get an update on what all happened ;). This blog seems an account of all the things I'm missing rather than the fun I'm having. Unfortunately, I'm a pessimist by nature (although I'd like to think I'm practical). So, the glass is always half empty for me.

AP has been caught up in the Telangana agitation and all the common people are suffering because of that. I am not following the news very closely, but there doesn't seem to be an immediate solution to the issue. Never had a good opinion about KCR and I think all this would have never happened if YSR was around. I'm not a big fan of YSR either, but one thing he did very well was to shut KCR up. Hope there is an end to the agitation and things get back to normal pretty soon.

India is No.1 in test matches now, but sadly they wont be there for long. If we keep playing 5 test matches a year, we cant possibly expect to stay No. 1. Australia plays 12 test matches a year almost. I hope Lalit Modi gets caught up in some kind of scandal (MMS preferably) and is kicked out of cricket administration. That would be the end of all troubles and more test cricket for team India. A few new movies to look forward to this weekend and more Grey's anatomy. Later.
